FLÂNEUR is more than a brand, it’s a movement that explores the art of wandering, discovery, and storytelling through design. Built on a foundation of cultural codes and contemporary aesthetics, the brand embodies a thoughtful balance of tradition and modernity, with every piece carrying a narrative.
The name FLÂNEUR originates from the concept of the urban explorer, observing and engaging with the world around them. Like its namesake, the brand thrives on curiosity and adaptation.
Founded by the Dutch-Moroccan Regi Schalks, FLÂNEUR is a fashion label rooted in observation, movement, and contemporary urban life. Growing up between cultures and living across multiple European cities shaped a layered perspective on identity, contrast, and rhythm elements that remain central to the brand.
Before fashion, music was Regi’s first language. His background in electronic music and visual culture continues to inform FLÂNEUR’s design approach, where structure, repetition, and restraint play a key role.
Each collection is developed with a system-driven mindset, balancing function and refinement.
The brand draws from the original 19th-century concept of the flâneur, not as a romantic wanderer, but as a modern observer. Someone who navigates the city with intent, translating its cultural codes, architecture, and pace into garments designed for modern life.
